This month, I learned that young people apparently think gifs are only for the elderly. Which means I am obviously honour bound to issue this greeting at the start of today’s newsletter.
Also this month I got to meet a lot of amazing fellow kids in World Book Week (and beyond) at various schools around London - and some lovely (and tolerant) librarians!
Author pals, if you want recommendations of some brilliant schools to visit, give me a shout, I sampled some wonderful ones. And one of the schools gave me some homemade cakes..
World Book Week also meant I saw some truly excellent Loki costumes! Here are a couple of my favourites - thanks to Sonny and Yuvi and their parents for permission to share their incredible costumes!

Writing tip of the day
Recently I got stuck on a short story and I was confronted with the fact that I often give out tips and don’t always actually act on them myself. So here’s one I DID use - I tried telling the story as a silent comic. It was VERY HARD. But it really helped me work out the important action of the story. (More on that story when it’s not secret. It’s a non-Loki story.)
Upcoming events
I had to postpone my event at the Leicester children’s comedy festival because I was sick (boo). But now I’m better (yay!). So I’ll be there on April 4th - free tickets here, if Leicester is handy enough for you!
